Parry’s wins the ‘Economic Times Best Brands 2019’ award!

The award was presented by Economic Times in partnership with AC Nielsen and was based on their research done covering 15 industries and conducted across 12 tier 1 and tier 2 cities amongst demographics in the age group of 24 – 50 years with a sample size of 7500+ in these towns. As per ET the awardees were shortlisted from a list 500 top brands across these industries evaluated by AC Nielsen.

Key Parameters assessed to shortlist brands were based on the below parameters and the combination of these factors is what they believed to make a best brand:

3.Customer Experience
4.Being Self-critical and Ready to Change
5.Doing less but doing well
6.Not afraid of Challenges
7.Being honest and ethical
8.Passion for Customer and Technology

As per ET officials the Best Brands survey acts as a voice for the Indian consumer, and aids in understanding their opinions on Brands in India.

EID Parry, received India’s Best Company of the Year 2017 award.

We have received India’s Best Company of the Year 2017 award on 10th March 2018, at The Leela Hotel Mumbai and Mr. Balaji Prakash was present to receive the award during INDIA’S BEST COMPANY OF THE YEAR AWARDS 2017 ceremony.

IBC InfoMedia conducted a comprehensive research in collaboration with Media Research Group for selecting the companies. Based on the research report the companies have been ranked for the awards.

EID Parry has announced a Joint Venture with Synthite Industries Ltd

Parry Nutraceuticals (a division of EID Parry and part of the Murugappa Group) is a pioneer in the production of microalgae based products. EID Parry has announced a Joint Venture with Synthite Industries Ltd, Cochin with a vision to grow the business as a value-added Algae Company. The 50-50 JV will leverage on Parry Nutra’s Spirulina cultivation strengths and Synthite’s extraction capabilities making it a good strategic fit for both the partners. In addition, their strengths in marketing will be synergistic, with Parry Nutraceuticals focusing on the human nutrition segment and Synthite Industries on the food colours and additives segment. Spirulina is an established nutritional health supplement and is the flagship product of Parry Nutraceuticals.

The Joint Venture Company will set up a manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu with an investment of around Rs. 40 crores for the production of Phycocyanin, a natural blue pigment extracted from Spirulina. Phycocyanin is a complex of light-harvesting proteins, extracted from Spirulina which has a characteristic deep blue colour. Phycocyanin offers excellent stability and flexibility for application in a variety of food and beverages and is approved by all major regulatory bodies in USA, EU, Japan and South Korea as food colour.

Nellikuppam unit was awarded certificate by CII for “Strong Commitment to Food Safety” for 2017. The award was given for Refinery plant in the large category of assesses in manufacturing sector which included Abbott, GSK, UB, Pepsi, Britania, Mondelez. The award was given based on assessment of internationally benchmarked best practices on food safety, global standards and Indian regulations on food safety systems and social compliance and change management initiatives carried out by the company.
