2023 – 24

EID Parry’s commitment to environmental stewardship continues to shine as our Nellikuppam and Oonaiyur units were awarded for outstanding efforts in Water Conservation & Efficiency and Rainwater Harvesting & Ground Water recharge initiatives respectively at the 4th CII Industrial Water/Waste Management Competition.
EID Parry has been recognised as the ‘Best Sugar Plant in Private Sector’ at the Sugar and Ethanol International Awards (SEIA) 2024. The 3rd edition of the Sugar and Ethanol India Conference (SEIC) India’s largest Conference proved to be a groundbreaking celebration recognizing expertise and visionaries in the Sugar and Ethanol industry!


  • EID Parry recognized for efforts in sustainability, environmental restoration, and safety at the 16th CII Southern Region EHS Excellence Awards 2023.Gold awards for the Pugalur and Oonaiyur units, Silver awards for the Nellikuppam, Ramdurg, Sankili units, and the Parrys Sugar Refinery at Kakinada, and Bagalkot bagged the Bronze award.
  • Parry Nutraceuticals in Oonaiyur and our sugar factory in Pugalur recognized for their exceptional contributions under Project NANNEER, a flagship project of the AMM Foundation .

2022 – 23

Mr. S Suresh received the ‘Best CEO- Agriculture & Allied’ award from Union Minister, Mr. Jyotiraditya M Scindia and India Today Group Chairman, Mr Aroon Purie
Mr. Muthiah Murugappan received “The Economic Times 40UnderForty” award from Mr Harsh Vardhan Goenka, Chairman, RPG Enterprises
Parry’s, the only sugar brand to be conferred the ‘SuperBrand’ status in India – a distinction it continues to hold for three consecutive years since 2021.


EID Parry has been honoured with the FICCI Sustainable Agriculture Awards 2023 in the distinguished category of ‘Large Corporates’ at the 3rd FICCI Sustainable Agriculture Summit held at New Delhi.
Parry’s received the Rising Star Award at the 16th edition of India Food Forum presented by Mr. Damodar Mall, CEO of Reliance Retail.
EID Parry has been recognized as the “Best Employer Brand in Tamil Nadu for 2023” at the esteemed 18th Employer Branding Awards, Chennai.


  • EID Parry was honoured with the ‘Most Iconic Organisation Award’ on May 11, 2023 at Coimbatore Leadership Awards in appreciation of the best practices followed by the Company in HR strategy, promoting future ready business practices, best employee recognition programs to retain talented resources, encouraging diversity and inclusion at workplace and for being a responsible corporate citizen by implementing impactful CSR initiatives across its manufacturing facilities.
  • Haliyal unit was awarded second place under the category of ‘Best Cogen Boilers’ for FY2022-23 by Director of Factories & Boilers, Karnataka.
  • Sankili unit won Gold Award for Best Technical Efficiency Sugar Plant, Gold award for ‘Best Distillery plant’, Silver award for Best Cogen plant from South India Sugar Cane and Sugar Technologies Association (SISSTA) and Bronze award on EHS – Excellence Category from CII.
  • Nellikuppam unit received an award in the Silver category from CII for ‘Best commitment in practicing the EHS’.
  • Nellikuppam unit was awarded ‘Energy Efficient Unit’ at the 23rd National Award for Excellence in Energy Management contest held at New Delhi.

2021 – 22

The Company received the Award for ‘Best Corporate Social Responsibility Practices’ on March 24, 2022 in the Global CSR & Excellence Leadership Awards for FY 2021- 22.
  • Nellikuppam unit received ‘SISSTA Best Distillery Silver Award’ in Tamil Nadu for FY2021-22.
  • Nellikuppam unit received the Gold Award for ‘Best Distillery’ for FY 2020-21 from The South Indian Sugarcane & Sugar Technologists’ Association (SISSTA) on 50th Golden Jubilee Annual Convention on 01st October 2021.
  • Bagalkot Unit received the National Safety Award for achieving the ‘Highest Accident Free Mandays and Lowest Frequency Rate’ from the Hon. Minister for Labour & Employment, Government of India, Shri Bhupender Yadav for the performance year 2018 on January 10, 2022.
  • Haliyal unit received the ‘Best Technical Efficiency Award – Karnataka’ for FY 2020-21 from Sri. Nijalingappa Sugar Institute, Belgaum, on 20th December 2021

2019 – 20

  • In the 35th Kaizen Competition conducted by CII Institute of Quality, Nellikuppam plant presented the following kaizens under the category of Breakthrough: Process breakthrough through change of technology: i. Biofuel from impure alcohol ii. Zero effluent discharge.
  • For its Kaizen on ‘Bio-fuel from impure alcohol’, Nellikuppam Plant won the First Prize.
  • Ramdurg unit received the National Safety Award from the Regional Labour Institute, Government of India, Ministry of Labour & Employment for the performance year 2017.
  • In the 20th National Award Contest for Excellence in Energy Management held by CII, Nellikuppam unit was declared as “Excellent Energy Efficient Unit”. The award was given for the plant’s works in the following areas:
    1. Cooling tower pumps reduction
    2. Sulphur station waste heat recovery
    3. Increase in no. of nozzles in roller to reduce bagasse moisture.
  • Nellikuppam Plant received 6 awards from the Government of Tamil Nadu on safety.
  • SISSTA Awards
    1. Nellikuppam distillery received the “Platinum Award” from SISSTA being the Best Distillery in Tamil Nadu region.
    2. Sivaganga distillery received the “Golden Award” from SISSTA being the Best Distillery in Tamil Nadu region.
    3. Sankili unit received “Silver award” from SISSTA, for being Best Distillery for 2018-19 in AP & Telangana Region.
  • Nellikuppam unit received the Platinum award for the ‘Best Distillery’ for FY 2019-20 from The South Indian Sugarcane & Sugar Technologists’ Association (SISSTA)
  • Sankili unit received the Gold award ‘Best Distillery’ for FY 2019-20 and Silver Award for Best Co-generation plant Silver Award for the period 2019-20 from The South Indian Sugarcane & Sugar Technologists’ Association (SISSTA).

2018 – 19

Distillery unit at Sivaganga received award from CII for MOST INNOVATIVE ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT under the head “Waste Management & Recycling”. The award was presented in the 7th edition of “GreenCo Summit 2018,” held on 27th & 28th June 18 at Chennai
Award for ‘Talent Management’ at the ‘Times Ascent’ Asia Pacific HRM Congress 2018.
Pudukkottai Plant received the TPM Excellence Award – Category A from the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance. The first sugar manufacturing plant in the world to receive the award.
ET Now ‘Best Corporate Social Responsibility Practices Award’ 2019.
‘The Dream Company to Work For’ Award at the Asia HR Leadership Awards 2018.
  • Economic Times Best Brands Award 2019.
  • Pudukkottai Plant received the TPM Excellence Award – Category A from the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance. The first sugar manufacturing plant in the world to receive the award.
  • Two awards for innovative project for implementing condensate polishing unit & Energy efficient unit (Nellikuppam) award for conserving steam and power in 19th National Energy Management 2018, CII Hyderabad.
  • Nellikuppam received Golden award for the Best Technical Efficiency and Silver award for the best distillery from SISTA
  • Pudukkottai Unit received the CII National Level Energy Efficient Unit
  • The Platinum Award for ‘Best Distillery for 2018-19’ in Tamil Nadu from SISSTA (South Indian Sugarcane & Sugar Technologists’ Association) to Nellikuppam distillery.
  • The SISSTA Golden Award for ‘Best Distillery for 2018-19 in Tamil Nadu’ region to Sivaganga distillery.
  • Sankili Unit received ‘Silver award’ from SISSTA, for being Best Distillery for 2018-19 in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana Region.

2017 – 18

Nellikuppam plant bagged awards for “Most Innovative Environmental Project” and “Most useful Environmental Project” at the Greenco Summit / CII Environmental Best Practices Meet.
Nellikuppam unit was awarded certificate by CII for “Strong Commitment to Food Safety” for 2017.
“Commitment to Engagement” award from Aon Hewitt in May 2017.
Nellikuppam Unit – second prize in Best Industrial Relations Category for the period 2008-2014 from Hon’ble. Labour Minister. TN govt. for sustaining cordial industrial relations climate.
“Chennai Best Employer Award 2017” from Employer Branding Institute India.
ET Now’s Best Corporate Social Responsibilities Practices Award.
  • India’s Best Sugar Manufacturing Company of the year 2017 Award by International Brand Consulting Corporation, USA.

2016 – 17

E.I.D. Parry received special recognition for “Commitment to Engagement” from AON Hewitt.
Pudukottai plant secured First prize in the National level TPM Circle competition conducted by TPM club of CII.
E.I.D. Parry recognised as “Best Performing Company” and Winner in the ‘Sugar’ Sector by Dun & Bradstreet (Second year in succession).
E.I.D. Parry secured “Best Overall Excellence in CSR” award given by National CSR.
Nellikuppam plant rated as “Excellent Energy efficient unit” by CII for Excellence in Energy management held at Hyderabad.
Pudukottai plant secured “Energy efficiency unit” award from CII.

SISSTA Award

Haliyal – Golden award for “Best Cane Development” in Karnataka Region.
Haliyal – Golden award for “Best Distillery” in Karnataka Region.
Haliyal – Gold Medal for the best paper titled “Achieving consistency in Color and Conductivity Ash in plantation white sugar”.

2015 – 16
